A Conab divulgou, em seu relatório semanal de conjuntura do algodão, as principais movimentações de preços e condições de mercado observadas entre os dias 3 e 7 de agosto de 2026. O boletim, publicado em 10 de agosto, traz análises sobre o comportamento das cotações no Brasil e no exterior.
Cotações domésticas e internacionais
No Mato Grosso, o preço médio recebido pelo produtor foi de R$ 130,22 por arroba, com alta de 0,4% ante a semana anterior. Na Bahia, a pluma foi comercializada a R$ 136,33 por arroba, avanço de 0,24% no mesmo comparativo. No atacado de São Paulo, sem ICMS, o preço ficou em R$ 138,90 por arroba, com ganho de 0,79% na semana.
No mercado internacional, a cotação da primeira entrega em Nova York atingiu 81,90 centavos de dólar por libra-peso, enquanto o índice Cotlook A ficou em 92,60 centavos. O preço efetivo em dólar alcançou 79,30 centavos. A valorização do petróleo e a piora das condições das lavouras norte-americanas impulsionaram os preços, que chegaram ao maior nível desde maio deste ano. A alta em outros mercados agrícolas também contribuiu para os ganhos.
Fatores de alta e demanda chinesa
Notícias de que a China tem vendido seus estoques governamentais e deverá ampliar as aquisições para repor o que foi vendido foram recebidas positivamente pelos investidores. Além disso, a redução da estimativa de produção mundial feita pelo Cotlook, que deve ficar abaixo do consumo, reforçou o movimento de alta.
O Brasil é o principal fornecedor de algodão para a China. As exportações brasileiras de pluma em julho totalizaram 154,97 milhões de toneladas, volume que representa aumento de 21,78% em relação ao mesmo mês do ano anterior, conforme dados do Ministério do Desenvolvimento, Indústria, Comércio e Serviços.
Mercado interno e safra
Apesar da valorização externa, a liquidez no mercado doméstico permanece restrita. Compradores adotam postura cautelosa e tentam pagar valores menores, enquanto vendedores dosam as ofertas. Alguns produtores, pressionados a liquidar estoques da safra anterior ou a gerar caixa, flexibilizaram preços, mas a postura firme de outros vendedores sustenta as cotações. Os negócios efetivados são pontuais e com volumes pouco expressivos, apenas para atender necessidades imediatas.
A safra 2025/2026 está com 43,7% da área colhida, conforme levantamento das equipes de campo da Conab. Até o dia 6 de agosto, 19,9% da safra já havia sido beneficiada, segundo informações da Abrapa. A paridade de importação CIF em São Paulo ficou em R$ 155,66 por arroba, enquanto a paridade de exportação FOB Santos foi de R$ 145,46 e a do produtor em Mato Grosso, de R$ 133,37. O preço mínimo da pluma é de R$ 114,58 por arroba.
